Saitek ProFlight Panels, Yoke System and TPM

Earlier I spoke about the Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals. The next piece of hardware the Madcatz team had on display was their amazing Procedure Trainer Cockpit. This trainer setup is a near replica of the cockpit found in the Cessna 172.

With the trainer you can experience virtual flight with critical flight data right at your finger tips. It includes two Yokes, Combat Rudder Pedals, two Radio panels, the Multi Panel, the Switch Panel, ten Instrument Panels, the TPM, and the BIP, all of which is built into a custom frame. The Procedure Trainer Cockpit can be all yours for $5000.

Along with the Combat Pedals, there are two more new Pro Flight products seen in the Procedure Trainer Cockpit. They’re the Throttle, Prop, and Mixture (TPM) controller and the Backlit Information Panel (BIP).

The TPM is a replica of the controls found in the Cessna, Piper, or Money Bravo. The TPM features three axes for fine control over the Throttle, Prop, and Mixture inputs. It also includes nine programmable toggle switches. The TPM is compatible with all major flight simulations currently found on the market.

The BIP features 24 sections which allow different warning notifications to be highlighted during flight. With over 50 individual ‘command tiles’ to choose from, the user can customize their BIP to their liking. Also, the user can choose between three different colors for notifications: red, orange or green. The notifications that are not active remain unseen until activated by the required condition fromFSX. Currently the BIP is only compatible with FSX.

It’s great to see more fantastic products from the Saitek’s Pro Flight range of products. The entire setup of the Procedure Trainer Cockpit is simply amazing. The addition of the TPM and BIP products is a great addition as well.
